This plug is used to decommission unused button ports in the manifold plate, ensuring a pressure-tight seal and preventing syrup leakage or “ghosting.” The unique “hat” design locks securely into the retaining plate (PH12-116B), providing a flush finish that maintains the ergonomic feel of the gun handle. Technician’s Repair Tip: When performing a gun rebuild or changing beverage configurations, ensures the locking tabs on the hat plug are fully engaged. A loose plug can cause syrup to bleed into other beverage lines. Lubricate the plug base with a tiny amount of food-grade silicone grease (Petrol-Gel) to ensure it seats perfectly in the manifold.
