Description
The Sanke Coupler Bottom Seal is a critical maintenance component for maintaining a 100% liquid-tight draught system. This specialized seal sits at the base of standard American ‘D’ and European ‘S’ system couplers, creating the primary seal between the coupler body and the top of the keg valve. Constructed from high-durability, food-safe EPDM, it is designed to withstand the constant pressure and mechanical friction of a high-volume commercial bar environment. Essential for preventing beer “spraying” and gas loss during tapping.
Technician’s Maintenance Tip: These seals can dry out or develop small nicks from debris. Always keep 5-10 of these in your service kit. Apply a tiny amount of food-grade silicone grease (Petrol-Gel) to the seal before installation to ensure a perfect, airtight seat and to prevent the rubber from bonding to the keg valve during use. A worn bottom seal is the leading cause of foam-at-the-coupler issues.
