Technician’s Note: For maximum efficacy in long-draw systems (over 50 feet), always heat your cleaning solution to between 80°F and 110°F. Alkaline cleaners like Penetrate perform exponentially better at elevated temperatures, breaking down stubborn proteins that cold water simply cannot touch. If you are cleaning a “neglected” system, double the contact time rather than the concentration; allowing the solution to soak for 15–20 minutes is more effective for deep-cleaning than using a caustic mix that is too “hot,” which can damage older vinyl tubing.
